The story behind the collections
I started the Cupcake Day collection series in 2025 to take part in the Ontario SPCA's Cupcake Day fundraising initiative. Each collection celebrates the animals who inspired its custom pet designs, while raising funds, sharing their stories, and helping more people discover pets waiting for homes.
2025 · Where it began
I created cupcake-inspired bandanas and hooded sherpa blankets featuring dogs cared for by the Ontario SPCA Provincial Dog Rehabilitation Centre in Peterborough.
This centre has since closed. When purchasing from the 2025 collection, customers can select which Ontario SPCA animal centre receives the donation—or choose “You choose for me” and Pawsome Prints will select a centre.
2026 · A new chapter
In 2026, I created custom camp mugs spotlighting pets from these Ontario SPCA centres:
Shopping my Cupcake Day collections is one way to support animals in care—it’s my creative way of taking part in the Ontario SPCA’s fundraising initiative. You can also join the annual Cupcake Day event directly by hosting your own fundraiser, baking with others, or supporting someone else’s efforts.
Every pet featured in the 2025 and 2026 Cupcake Day collections has found a home!
I'm so happy to celebrate their new beginnings. 💜
There are still so many animals waiting for the right family. Whether you're just beginning your search or haven't found your perfect match yet, the Ontario SPCA's adoption listings are always available to explore.
The adoption link remains available year-round—even when the seasonal Cupcake Day collections aren't open.
